Geoff Gibbons

Vancouver Singer/Songwriter Geoff Gibbons has been at this crazy music thing for some time, starting at the age of 11 as a member and soloist of a choir performing and recording in Canada and Europe.

Wishing to follow different musical pursuits in his teenage years, Geoff discovered the acoustic guitar at 13 and fell for the songs of Neil Young, Cat Stevens, Joni Mitchell, and

The Eagles.

Many musical projects and countless stages have followed through the arc of Geoff’s musical career.  Geoff's first group Silverlode released two albums and garnered national airplay in Canada. The group appeared on many concert stages and television shows.

On his own Geoff has recorded four solo CDs with critical success and had extensive play of five videos on Much More Music and CMT as a roots artist.

In recent years, Geoff has collaborated as a songwriter with artists like Jeff Carlisi (.38 Special-Lynard Skynard) Dawn Langstroth (Daughter of Anne Murray) and Top Nashville writers James Dean Hicks and Peter McCann to name a few.  His skills as a songsmith have also been put to good use of late writing for TV (Higher Ground, Just Cause, Robson Arms) as well as animations (Mook, The Mr. Dink Show - winner of the jury prize for best animation at the New York International Film Festival).
Geoff also composed the score and the songs for Lions Gate Film's "Wolf Moon" aka "Dark Moon Rising"…Working with producer/engineer Dave ”Rave” Ogilvie (Marilyn Manson , David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails) and collaborating with a number of artists for the project.

Currently Geoff is working with esteemed producer John Ellis on his next solo Roots/Folk Rock project Buffalo Hotel due for release in 2017.  Also on the go is the music for the upcoming feature action film (pre-production) "Lido" due for release in the coming year.
